Studied law at Saarland University (first state exam 2003). Received Master of Law (LLM EUR) at the Europa-Institut of Saarland University in 2004. Thesis written on topic in International Law (The International Criminal Court within the System of Collective Security). Legal clerkship at Kammergericht Berlin, working among others at the German Foreign Office and an American law firm in Washington, D.C. (2005-2007). 2008 admission to the bar, initially as associate with Bird & Bird LLP in Munich and since June 2010 with HFK Attorneys at Law in Berlin.

• Advises contracting authorities as well as bidding companies from the constructing and service sector from the initial procurement concept through the tendering process to wording the contract.
• Special focus on clients from the IT and telecommunications sector.
• Advises companies defending themselves against re-claims according to public price law.
• Advises procurement of electricity-, gas- and water concessions according to the German Energy Act (EnWG) as well as service concessions.
• Assessment of legal questions concerning the scope of applicability of procurement laws and regulations, including the relevant state or local budget law.
• Consultant to companies affected by an infringement proceeding at a European Court.
