Career

After his university studies Dr. Weissenborn worked for five years as lawyer in the electronics and pharmaceutical industry.

In 1976 Dr. Weissenborn was employed as in-house counsel by an important German construction company, which was later merged with a major European construction group. From the outset his function was exclusively caring for international business, i.e. for international civil law, in particular construction law, company law, international dispute resolution through arbitration or alternative dispute resolution andinternational agreements on the protection of foreign investments.These international legal activities entailed intensive involvement in adjacent business and commercial areas like international tax law, foreign exchange law, financing and export credit insurance.

From 2007 on Dr. Weissenborn was co-managing director of a firm belonging to the above mentioned European construction group providing legal services for the international business. This position terminated in 2010 due to age. Since then he is part of HFK Rechtsanwälte in Munich.
