The partners of the civil law association (GbR) HFK Rechtsanwälte Heiermann Franke Knipp have transferred their shares to HFK Rechtsanwälte LLP with effect to 01 December 2010. HFK Rechtsanwälte LLP is the universal successor (Gesamtrechtsnachfolger) of HFK Rechtsanwälte Heiermann Franke Knipp.

Occupational title/professional responsibility
The occupational title "Rechtsanwalt" or "Rechtsanwältin" (Federal Republic of Germany) has been awarded to lawyers of HFK Rechtsanwälte LLP on the basis of federal German rules and regulations after passing the 2. State Exam (2. juristische Staatsprüfung) and a special admission procedure with the respective competent minister of justice by the president of the respective competent higher regional court (Oberlandesgericht) or - since 08 September 1998 - with the respective local bar association.
They adhere to the professional rules and responsibilities of the provisions of the German Federal Legal Profession Act dated 01 August 1959 (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung), the Professional Code of Conduct for Attorneys dated 01 November 2001 and the Professional Codes of Conduct for Special Attorneys dated 22 March 1999 (Berufs- und Fachanwaltsordnungen der Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer), the Attorney Remuneration Act from 01 July 2004 (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz), and the Occupational Rules of the Attorneys of the European Union, amended by the CCBE-plenary on 28 November 1998 in Lyon (Standesregelung der Rechtsanwälte in der Europäischen Gemeinschaft), each as amended.
